We recognize that many medical offices may not offer any 3D/4D ultrasound technology, or not have the time to do what we offer as an Elective Session. Our services are non-diagnostic and do not replace or add to any established prenatal care by a physician/midwife. It's all about having fun watching your unborn child in real time!! We will spend as much quality time with your little one to capture the best images possible! If your baby decides he or she does not want to cooperate, or is not ideally positioned to obtain beautiful images we hope for while watching live,.. BECAUSE let me be honest, IT DOES HAPPEN AT TIMES. If by chance that was to occur, We will guarantee with any of our packages, a FREE RETURN visit!
Common Questions & Answers about 3D/4D:
Q: Do I need an appointment?
A: Yes, appointments are necessary to provide you with the most quality time bonding with your baby
Q: How many guests can we bring?
A: Currently- due to COVID our clients may only bring 4 people, including the patient. (3 additional guests)
Q: What does ARDMS registered mean and why is it important to have an ARDMS registered sonographer perform this ultrasound?
A: ARDMS stands for American Registry of Medical Diagnostic Sonographers. It is the most highly recognized and respected licensure organization for sonographers in the United States and is well respected around the entire world. We have the highest level of training in our careers and are required to maintain continuing education in addition to passing rigorous examinations that are highly regarded by the medical profession. You want to make sure your baby is in the most capable and safe hands. We take our oath very seriously and promise to take the best care of you and your baby.
Q: What factors determine the quality of my images?
A: The most important factor is the position of the baby. The amniotic fluid is also very important (more the better). We recommend to increase water consumption one week minimum (up to two) prior to appointment. We highly recommend a minimum of 64 ounces of fluid intake daily. Another factor is placenta position, as well as the amount of tissue between the baby and probe. All babies scan differently, but we promise to get the best scans possible with each baby!
Q: What is the difference between 2D/3D/4D?
A:
Q: Does this take the place of an ultrasound at my doctor?
A: Absolutely Not! You must be seeking prenatal care and have had an ultrasound by a physician. These ultrasounds are for entertainment and a bonding experience only.
Q: Is it elective ultrasound safe? Are there any risks to me or my baby?
A: We are well trained in following the principle of ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable.) This simply means that I will transmit the lowest MHz needed for a shortest amount of time necessary to give you amazing images of your baby with out posing a risk of bioeffects to you or your baby. Studies over the past 30 years show ultrasounds cause no harm to the baby or the mother. Routine scanning during pregnancy is normal & safe.
Q: Do I have to pay in advance when I schedule an appointment?
A: No. We do not require a credit card to hold your appointment. You may pay in advance if you choose, but it is not necessary.
Q: Is the session time quoted just for scanning my baby, or is that from starting the ultrasound to walking out the door??
A: Our session time for each of our packages is just scanning time of your baby. We leave enough time to finalize your items and check you out. You will not feel rushed at our office.
Q: Do you offer Live Streaming?
A: Yes! Via Face Time or Skype. We do not feel it is fair to charge you extra fees to include loved ones who are not able to attend. We have had several people join in on a session so that certain Loved one felt apart of something so special.

Q: What is the difference between 2D/3D/4D?
A:
- 2D: ultrasounds are the traditional Black & White images, typically used at your Diagnostic medical appointments. You will often see baby's adorable profile, gender and measurements for estimated fetal weight. We also check for hair after 26 weeks gestation using 2D imaging.
- 3D: ultrasound is a still 3 dimensional image that shows the surface features of a baby. These are the tannish colored images, that show the face, hands, feet or body.
- 4D: ultrasound is the same as 3D, but with the addition of real-time/live video of what the baby is doing! (3D In Motion) We have captured everything from precious little yawns to big ol' stretches
- 5D/6D: Non-Existent -
